Email Notifications Failing (mostly Telstra)
Hello everyone. Seems there is an issue with Telstra (possible others) blocking email from our server. If you are trying to sign up I would suggest a different email if possible. If you're trying to reset your password and it fails please use the Contact Us page:
I did the updates last night on both cars. Took a few minutes per vehicle. In the update tool (on the Mac) I elected to only download the Aus/NZ update package - I can't see either of my vehicles being used abroad during my period of ownership
Total size of the update package was ~800MB on the SD card. My wifes Passat (B8 Comfortline) was V 2016, my Alltrack Wolfsburg was V2017, however the update still applied as the software on the card was newer than what was on the vehicle.
No differences noticed thus far, but I am now happy to know that latest map data is applied to both vehicles.
Such a simple process (THANK YOU VW!) that my intention at this stage is to perform the update on the 6-monthly release cycle of the updated software versions.
I did this with by Wolfsberg 2017 passat. I now believe that the speed limits change for schools zones (Australia) at the required times. (7.30-9am) Have only seen it with the ones where there are the actual lights installed (as the sign) so far. Very cool.

You mean for traffic sign recon or normal map sings? For the school zone
You need to supply your own card. The maps are stored on internal storage once you upload them to the system via the SD card. Both slots work (if you vehicle is equipped with two in the glove compartment) - doesn't matter which one you use.
