Out of interest, what do you use the OBD11 for that you're referring to updating?

the OBD11 tool, like VCDS allows you to scan the computer on the car and make tweaks. I didn't like the standard look of the active info display, so i changed it to the R version. Same with TMC, its not enabled by default. You can also use it to scan for fault codes generated by the onboard computer.

Yeah, we love ours too! Just updated mine with OBD11. R-clocks on dash, TMC, Fan speed on Auto & beep on lock/unlock.

That's pretty much exactly the tweaks I want to do. I ordered an OBDII extender from China, so hopefully it works, was too stingy to buy the real one lol.

yeah, i just managed to get one b4 they ran out of stock. going to attempt to code the following later, as the wife is looking at me funny spending all this time in the car and not going anywhere... lol

Other than looks, R speedo goes up by 5kmh up to 120kmh, then by 10kmh. Standard speedo goes up by 5kmh to 60kmh, then by 10kmh.

Surely you want to try to hit 320! I do prefer the graphics and italicised font of the R as well as the difference in increments.

Thanks for that guys the R gauges do look a bit better, think I'll get a single and have a play shortly. Any other worthwhile tweaks to the displays or settings ?
