Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • How to extend the music player ON-TIME when ignition is off

When we go camping in our VW Passat, 2018 wagon, we settle in for the night in the back, and sometimes listen to a film score. If the ignition is left on, outside lights stay on, so I turn the ignition off to ensure the battery doesn't drain as much. The sound stays on – but only for about 30 minutes. Then the sound turns off. So I have to grope around in the dark, turn the console thing back on, try to find the point where the sound stopped (maybe it picks up at the same point automatically, but I'm not sure about that), and away we go for another 30 minutes.

Is there a way to make the sound stay on longer? I can't find any settings in any of the menus.
