Hey there brains trust. Hoping for some advice on a few fault codes that have popped up.
Car is 2017 206 r-line wagon. APR Stage 1 and DSG tune, ODO about 100k.
When accelerating relatively quickly (more than say 50%), I can feel power surges which throw an error on the dash saying “EPC”. It activates some sort of limp mode with very low power. When I stop, the car is idling rough, and if you rev engine to 1.5k rpm there is a very noticeable engine shudder - one cylinder not firing and out of balance maybe?
If I turn the car off and back on - all is fine and drives normal (if you don’t accelerate quickly). I drove for 4 hours like this today with no issue.
I have read the below codes using a cheap OBD2 reader:
P0304 - cylinder 4 misfire detected
P0302 - cylinder 2 misfire detected
P0300 - random/multiple cylinder misfire detected
B2AAA - body
After clearing codes - everything is normal but I can not rev past 5k rpm while stationary due to a rev limiter.
I plan to swap over coil packs 2&4 with 1&3 to see if they are the problem. Plug were replaced 30k ago.
Any other ideas what this might be?
Thanks in advanced - Jeremy.
