Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • Anyone used Volkswerk Doncaster in Melbourne?

Car is due for the 45,000km service. I want to try an independent mechanics instead of the over-priced dealership. Also want to check if everything is OK with the warranty expiring in under 6 months.

Anyone tried Volkswerk in Doncaster (Melbourne)?

I use them for our cars, highly recommended (and the 907 bus stops outside their door if you need to get into the city easily (if not exactly quickly ). They used to be in Greensborough before reolcating to their much bigger and nicer location in Doncaster.

If you spend some time talking to them it's clear they really do love what they do and are invested in the brand. Have gone above and beyond for me a few times now so I can't rave highly enough, they also do loan cars if you need them which is nice.

Volkwerke – Volkswagen Audi Skoda Service – Doncaster

If it has an engine or heartbeat it's going to cost you.

I like the idea of an independent specialist service centre that can give a car a once over before its warranty expires (obviously wouldn't trust the dealership to do it). Is there an equivalent in Sydney?
