Dynamic Light Assist

The Fusion part means that it's fusion between GPS data and Camera Data. The Camera data is fine but the additional meta data is missing in the maps data for the speed, despite showing it in your main GPS screen. Unless they put the right information in the mapping data for AUS (I highly doubt it) then you're not going to get fusion working without it complaining. *EDIT* I think it has the right data in maps for highways/motorways, just not streets.

It It only shows the sign icon in the top row of the AID. I understand what Fusion means.

Its just that the incorrect icon appears and there are no signs so where does the info come from.

This morning when I got in car in garage a message came up in the AID " No Speed signs Available"

Also first time Ive noticed as I dont have main Nav screen on much that the speed sign appears in top left corner.

Does anyone know if the MY20 (AW) Polo GTI (Fully Optioned) for the Aussie market;
Has the hardware to do dynamic light assist??

Not just high beam assist, i.e. can change angle of lighting etc, not just high/low switch.
I'm not sure if it's enabled by default, but there may be the hardware in place for it?

Will be collecting my new Polo GTI in ~1week. Have bought OBD11v2 & may eventually get VCDS.

I don't suppose you finger where it's verified, that it's not doable for the Oz MY20 PoloGTI?

I didn't quite catch the thread if there was definite answer.

But! My 2 good friends just acquired this function in their cars. First car is 2015 Passat B8 with module 55, where we did Driver Assist Camera retrofit and second is 2018 Arteon with camera from factory, but no DLA, module 4B.

On both cars it was possible to activate DLA options just with coding/adaption. Both car owners complained that DLA doesn't work like their previous car DLA worked(Passat B7 and CC respectively).

I loaded VCP and both module datasets included option for DLA. Also headlight start pattern changed to check the DLA functionality.

i had the same Passat B8 parameters successfully loaded to my Superb's 4B module, and it cleared all the Light Assist errors i was getting (after retrofitting SLA/DLA headlights).

Did you you load all three Parameters? And was it the passat_b8_7p6907357c.zdc file?

No, only the "AFS_MDF" parameter file was loaded.
My car already had normal AFS.

kamold, a forum member here, loaded the file for me. He has access to VCP and ODIS tools, which is required to load the parameter file.

I'm not sure i'd bother with this to be honest. Mine came with it from the factory and if i had a penny for everytime i got flashed i'd be rich! It can be slow to react or it doesn't do a great job of masking. Useless to be honest in the B8 Passat.
