  • 2010 Passat wheels

What are they worth, I have just bought some mags for my car.And don't want the old rims sitting in the back yard,so I thought I would sell them but I don't know what they are worth.

You probably want to specify what design they are. There were 4 Passat trim levels in 2010, each of which had unique wheel designs, plus at least two additional optional designs.

Depends on size, condition and what the tyres are like.

I've bought 4 sets of immaculate wheels with near new tyres and never paid more than $400 for 16", 17" & 18".

Usually I sell them when the tyres are bald for around $150-$180. That's in 16" & 17" sizes

If you cleaned them up and posted some closeups of ALL of them to show any scrapes etc you might get some answers.

No one will buy rims they havent seen as someone could post pics of the rears that are clean and the fronts could be scraped to the bone.
Personally I think they look better than the new ones. (Just me of course)

Some details like size, ie diameter, offset, width, condition of tyres etc if included. These are all fairly crucial details for someone interested in buying wheels.

The other thing to do is to store the old stock rims and put them back on when you go to sell your car. Wheel choices tend to be a fairly personal thing and what someone likes someone else won't. Which can limit you in terms of resale. In terms of selling the car you'll almost always appeal to the most buyers with the stock wheels as long as they're in good condition.

Just as a bit of an idea if you have to get these fixed/resprayed you'll be looking at $150-$200 a wheel. Which is why people aren't prepared to pay that much for kerbed wheels as it costs a fair bit to get them looking "new" again.
