Does air come out of those vents when you do that "flap adaptation"?
I will check the coding on my module tonight, but I think there were options to change the climate "region" and if the vehicle has passive ventilation or not.
Now ... from memory when I did the adaptation it might have momentarily work. I can't be sure as some time have passed since I've done it. As well I've been trying to fix my 'faulty fuel gauge' which is probably as, if not more, annoying than this.
If you can get me a 'different code' I'll sure check it out.

Try this coding 0600002002; this sets the vehicle type to B7 instead of CAN dependant and the climate to "more air"
Tried this code yesterday - unfortunately no luck with 'coding rejected - error 31: request out of range'. What's puzzling I have another Climatronic module (which I think is also from B7 but no seat warmers) and the effects of fitting it are the same.
As I'm not really getting any meaningful cold air coming through the cabin I thought I'll just swap back to the B6 module and see how it behaves.
After clearing the fault codes the (13701456 - Function Restricted due to Missing Message(s) U1111 00 [009] [New feature! Extended UDS fault detail is only supported by current gen. interfaces]) has now gone BUT ... I'm now getting Air Quality Sensor - G238 fault code.
I'm curious whether (if the sensor is really faulty) this would perhaps interfere somehow with the operation of the climatronic module regardless whether B6 or B7? (I've ordered a new sensor just in case)

The sensor switches automagically between outside and recirc based on the amount of toxic fallout being ingested into the system.
So not sure it will affect the lack of air in the cabin.
The fact the missing message is gone is just because the B6 climatronics doesn't expect an additional CAN message from the BCM as opposed to the older Bordnetz CECM

I guess what I was really hoping for is when I fitted the 'old Climatronic' back things would return to normal. Since that has not happened it puzzles me even more.

Well, having tried 3 different climatronic units - 2 x B7 (1 with and 1 without the seat warmer switch), 1 x B6 (which I acquired in the week) I was dumbfounded that ALL would cause the same HVAC fault. Even the newer B6 seemingly identical to mine once fitted resulted in the HVAC fault.
Original B6 climatronic fitted, recent B6 underneath, B7 without seat warmer switch (B7 with seat warmer switch is missing from this picture.
So, in desperation I fitted the original (half broken) unit and you guess it ... the fault has magically gone.
I tested the 'old' module and it definitely works as before - down to 3C.
The old B6 module (connected) and recently acquired B6 climatronic underneath.
What gives?
As to the other matter of Air Quality Sensor G238 fault code - I received a replacement sensor the other day but when I had a look around the w/wiper motor I just couldn't find one. Suffice to say that with 'old' climatronic fitted the Air Quality Sensor fault code has cleared as well.
