Passat b7 sunroof doesn't work at all

Hey guys, newbie here. I tried everything with my new Passat b7 sunroof.

It doesn't move what ever I press. Checked all fuses as well. Please help

(Covers were removed to check if there was a fuse)

Check out fuses SC30, SA4 SA5.

Have a look at page 94 in the below PDF.

The sunroof controller also connects to the CAN gateway via LIN, so if you have a scan tool see if it's showing any issues.

Thank you. Will do this in the morning. Another post said that a weak battery can cause this not to work. Can that be right

The sunroof controller can fail. I had to replace mine on my R36. The switch looks a bit different on the B7 - its has a panoramic roof - than the B6 which has a conventional sunroof.

I rechecked all the fuses again. Soo upset about this.

No 3 fuse is missing.

Fuses can be missing because options to your vehicle were never fitted from the factory; number three looks to be present in your image; do you mean 4?

Did you check the fuse box on the passenger side?

Is the problem something that just started, or is this a new car to you that came with the issues?

It's a car I picked up recently from a private seller
. He did mention the sunroof needs attention. Didn't think it will be this hard [emoji22]

New update!

- Checked SCA 30 fuse on driver side and Fuse 3 from Passenger side and both are ok
- Cheked 80Amp fuse on slot 5 near battery terminal - that is fine too
- Checked the system using OBDEleven - it says below

POWER SUNROOF CONTROL MODULE
---No Signal/No Communucation

Next, check the voltage and ground at the sunroof controller \ motor.

Here is what it looks like.

And here is where it's located, Red 12v, brown Gnd

If you have voltage at that connector, it would most likely be the controller that's built into the motor; other tests to confirm need more advanced tools than just a multimeter.

Managed to open up. Noted on the brown earth. Which red wire should I check the voltage against?
