hi there, cro, i was wondering how the r36 performed at the track day you mentioned...currently researching my next purchase and the r36 is top of the shortlist...Originally posted by Cro View PostThanks
I'm taking two weeks off work from next week to go cruising around NSW, so there will be a lot more pics and maybe some video if I can work out where to mount the video camera
Hopefully I can do that before the track on next Tuesday....
cheers

Lowering R36
Have been reading all your comments on how you guys are loving your R36's and it is just making me go crazy. I have been waiting for 3 months so far and still have another 5 weeks to go. I have been looking at a few of the photo's and am seriously thinking that it would look even better if it was lowered a fraction more. Nothing dramatic just enough so the top of the guard is a fraction above the rim. I am putting Audi RS4 19's on mine but assume that this will not change the stance in anyway and will still have the same gap between the guard and tyre.
What is everyone else's thoughts?

The RS4 19's will look great, but before you lower the suspension consider that the ground clearance is already marginal for everyday driving - just look under the bumper of most R36's. I actually raised mine 20mm with some custom made uprated King springs - it still has a sporty ride and now gets up driveways without scraping.Originally posted by Macka View PostHave been reading all your comments on how you guys are loving your R36's and it is just making me go crazy. I'm very happy with the ground clearance of the R36, higher than my old XR6T and no need to go over speed humps/driveways at an angle. No ramp over issues at my parents place either which always meant a loud centre muffer scrape on the XR6T.
I wouldn't want it any lower though, my wife has already caused the lower drivers side part of the front bumper to rub against a kerb...

I only need one... the Q7 is Dad's, the GTI iss Mum's toy, and the R36 is mine (well, I went halves with the folks rather than buying two of the same kind of car).Originally posted by gti View PostHow many cars do you need Steve.....I see the Audi, then the GTI, then the R36! Maniac! I want an R36! I like them better than the R32!
There's also a 91 Landcruiser hidden in there, but that hasn't been driven for months
I'm in Thailand and have been in South East Asia for about six weeks, so I'm missing my car... I hope it's not feeling too neglected
