Hi guys, I have decided I will be working on a project to retrofit factory Bi Xenon's to my B6 Passat.
I have purchased the factory Bi Xenon housings for this project, these did not come with Ballasts. I splurged on new housings to ensure the light cut off etc will be acceptable (no blinding). I am also in the process of investigating the washing function to have this fitted as well (I have micro scratches on the windscreen and I'm sick of getting blinded).
My question is: I have a wrecked Bi Xenon housing from an R36 Passat. This has what appears to be two ballasts??? Can anyone shed light on this? Are they both acting as ballasts for the Xenons or is one of the silver boxes for a different function (cornering lights etc).
Does anyone have a bit more technical information on the factory bi xenon setup of an R36 Passat that can share some wisdom?
I have searched and found some useful threads but unfortunately the photos of them are no longer appearing losing much of their value. I plan on doing a nice write up for this to add value back into the various forums that help.
Thanks again.
