  • R36 ecu flash

Keen to hear feedback from those with an r36 ecu flash.
I know there's one from the UK, and one from Germany - similar claims.

You could try Viezu. There is a new dealer in Melbourne - HPX Australia. http://www.vwwatercooled.org.au/foru...tml#post834967

I had a DNA tune done on mine.

I really feel at this level, there is not much to be gained. Most of the butt dyno gains come from the associated throttle remap which makes it feel more responsive. It's slightly more punchy up top, but the reality is that on public roads, you're rarely there anyway.

That's my fear - upwards of 1200 for predominant top end gains from many of the off the shelf options. sprint booster for a third of the price would fix my throttle responsiveness irritation. im going to ask around Monday at a few places to see how their offer differs...

I think also the dsg smarts in auto drive contributes to the lacklustre feel at times, as you're continually trying to put power down in 5/6 gear around town.

You can get the light DSG remap included for free with the Viezu tune

Does modify it quite a bit beyond what adaptive learning offers and makes the take up better and smooths changes out.

The R36 benefits from changes to the zorst and intake

                    I have an R mate

I'm going by what has been said by Viezu on the 3.6

Give Viezu a call and see if they can sort out something for you. HPX are the Viezu Master Dealer in Melbourne (same company that makes headers and performance exhausts)

A few have already been done here in Aussie

                    Here is a UK run

Piggy5 - have a look at what DNA Tuning offer for the R36. Their price is very reasonable and im a happy DNA customer.

I had the DNA tune done but didn't notice much of a difference.
Don't bother with a ECU reflash
As someone else said a DSG reflash may net a better result

                            Depends

Also, as I mentioned, with the 3.6, combine the Viezu tune with hardware which the Viezu Master Dealer, HPX should be able to help you with as they manufacture hardware themselves

I'm pretty sure HPX would do the same money back deal I do....and so far I have indeed refunded on a NA AMG Merc, as the difference was actually too much for the customer, he had traction problems!

I thought that was the whole idea, but anyhow.....

Find someone who is willing to give you a money back guarantee, tune it, drive it a few days, and see if it is worth it. Jesus I do that as a rule! I have truthfully only done about 5 NA cars but so far, apart from the Merc, they were all amazed ( including me to be honest! )

Candy, only some car models have the "obvious" DSG improvement the Golf R has, it seems to be a try it and see I am finding.

A good mate has an R36 and I'm trying to convince him to let me at it!
