If it's coming on the boat, I would double check with your dealer. My dealer lied to me and guaranteed me the RVC (was even in writing on the contract!). Then they realized they can't get it so the contract fell through.
Depends on how important RVC is to you. You may get a car without it and they'll refund you $600 but you have to proceed with the purchase. It is in their bulletin instructed by VW Aus.
125TDI Highline Wagon
Deep Black Pearlescent

$49,000 drive away
Thats insanely cheap. All the margin, holdback and bonus. Something wrong with this dealer?

Yep well it has been in my driveway for a couple of weeks now and I didn't pay a cent more than $49k. I forgot to mention they included the iPod MDI cable for me as well. Very happy with the car for the money.

That's not insanely cheap at all. It's a normal price you get if you go through a car broker. There is nothing wrong with the dealer. It's because through a car broker, you are entitled to corporate fleet discount that you and I don't normally get. Dealers get the car cheaper from VW Aus, and that discount is then passed to us. ie. the cost price is lower, hence the margin is bigger!
With the quote of my Passat, the price was quite similar (I got few more options, and it was a sedan, but by adding and subtracting the differences in options, sedan vs wagon...etc, mine would work out roughly the same).
I bet Dopeyl got his through a car broker. The full tank of fuel is a clue.....
Nope, no car broker. I've bought three cars there and they've given me a good price every time. I am entitled to Corporate Plus discount however. Price seemed OK to me, not mind blasting but certainly didn't get ripped off. More importantly, 100% happy with the car (so far)

That's it! The corporate plus discount! It depends on where you work, so you already are entitled to fleet discount. Not everyone is entitled to it though. But using car broker, even an unemployed person is entitled to it.
Also, not everyone knows their entitlement. I work for QLD government and it was the car broker told me that I was entitled to corporate plus discount! When I told my colleagues, none of them are aware of that!! Many of them have paid retail price for their VW!! How sad.....
Suddenly I became the "car purchase advisor" in my department...
