  • My comments on white / sunroof were based on a discussion with a dealer at the time I purchased my car. I bought with a sunroof anyway (it was on my options list from day 0, regardless of colour) and never intended to buy white, so it was not an issue for me.

If the dealer was incorrect and if I have therefore misled anyone then I apologise wholeheartedly...

Who's getting heated by the way?

    • Sorry for bumping an old thread but I thought it might be better than starting a new one...

Found a new DBP R36 wagon with no options, the sticker on the window is $74k on the road (WTF?) and they offered to let go of it for $67k. I was thinking, didn't others managed to pick up fully loaded sedans for $65k on the road? Loved the car, just don't know what to go offer them but $67k seems ridiculous in my book.

On the flip side, I've found 1 year old with minimal options going for $67k....

      Thanks fellas

      • $64k would be a very good on the road price. Keen to know what dealers are offering this.

        I just picked up an MY09 CC V6 with 8,000klms for $57k.

        • I am wondering what to sell my R36 for. New Car arrives in May, and from what I see on the net the wagons especially seem to hold their value well above what I would expect.

What are peoples thoughts on a 08 Biscay Blue Wagon with Sunroof and Auto Tailgate. 48,000kms, VW service history, near new condition (apart from some scraping on the underside of the front bumper (not noticeable)?

I was thinking around $50k, but that appears to be very low compared to whats on the net.

          Any input would be appreciated.

Based on the other similar examples on Carsales at the moment, I'd probably be asking $58000-59000, taking into account mileage and extas. Depends how quickly you need to sell the car. Not very, at this stage, I'm guessing.

            • If the resale is so good for a wagon then maybe I should just take the plunge and get a new one. Problem is, I don't need one till kiddie #2 arrives in July.

Sounds right to me - I dont know if I would buy a three y/o one for $12k less than new.

Then again I am selling so it sounds completely reasonable.

I suppose there will be some dip in values when the new shape comes out, even without a R model in the lineup at release.

                • Hi all,

I just picked one up brand new three days ago for $70K drive away in deep black with sunroof and RVC.

I thought it was a pretty decent price considering there aren't many around.

                  Absolutely LOVING the car!!!

                    • Thanks szikou! A little bit jealous looking at your sig. R36 with the lot!

I am kicking myself for not getting the integrated BT kit from VW...am now searching around to see if there are BT installers out there who does a similar one as VW for cheaper.

                      • 'The lot' is great but I had to wait 9 months for it.

Regarding BT there is a place in South Melbourne that instalsl them. I can't remember their name however.
