bad luck, know your frustration. back in october i was pushing them about delivery for my wifes birthday in october.

You never know, it might be in the docks and get released and you'll have it soon after. good luck !

I believe that all vehicles must be cleared through customs first.

I don't think they're standard on Aus spec cars.

          Someone will know

            The wagon doesn't have it.

It was not standard with mine - it's an accessory you can buy I believe.

Hey guys - first post here. I'm eagerly awaiting delivery of my R36 wagon too (actually it's going to be the wife's/family car but I will still get to play often enough!). It arrived in the country on Dec 26th and we are hoping for delivery on Jan 12th at this stage. There seems to be a few people here with them / getting them and yet since I ordered the car back in August I've only ever seen one on the road. Sounds like a few more might start to appear over the next few months.

Still not sure what to do on the Blutooth option though - and what I've read here so far this morning hasn't helped much!

                R35 GT-R
                R36 Passat Wagon (wife's car)

My experience with the bluetooth unit has been less than stellar. My advice: go a parrot unit, which is actually more legal than the VW integrated option. With parrot you do not have to pick up your phone handpiece to dial out: all you have to do is turn the knob on the parrot unit to find your contact. It's not as neat as the VW unit, but the trade off is more functionality at a cheaper price.

First time poster but have read all with interest. Have been looking carefully at the R36 for a few months but find it hard to commit to buy as I am holding out for the premium bluetooth option. Currently have a VW Golf with bluetooth and must say it has been disappointing.
I might look into the parrot option myself.
That aside, I think the R36 represents amazing value for money and my comparison car being and Audi A4 Quattro with less power is $20k more expensive. Understand you pay a little more for the Audi badge but for me, it will probably come down to roar performance & features which the R36 has in bucket loads. Now I have to consider the 4mth wait for the R36 spec I require.

I'd never heard of Parrot until I came here - so I have to ask is there a prefered Parrot?

AS an owner now for 3 weeks all l can say is that you won't be disappointed. Just did another run today between Lorne and Deans Marsh (Victoria - Near Great Ocean Road) and this thing is amazing. I am running Michelin PS2's thanks to Cro (Hurt my pocket) but this just handles corners unbelievably and my previous drive was a Subaru Liberty GT Spec B that was quick through the twisty bits. If you have read other threads by Cro he is right. It just keeps hanging on and l still haven't found its limit. The balance of kw's and torque in full manual mode is just sensational. I too was looking at the Audi wagon but just couldn't justify the price tage over the Subaru with such a power drop. Buy it l can guarantee you won't be disappointed. This is the best value of bang for buck with luxury that you are going to find.

Have the option of picking up a demo (VW executive driven) silver R36 sedan that was first registered in Sep 08 with 2,500km's. Anyone been looking at demo's to counter the 4mth wait time - wonder what would be a good deal?? Vehicle is fully factory optioned (Dynaudio, sunroof, sat nav)

This is going to be a stupid question so be gentle with me. This is my very first european car and not 100% sure of how to control it. At stand still with the Park Brake ON, and gear into D, as you slowly accelerate, the Park Brake will go off automatically and car will move is this correct? I also found that if you are NOT wearing your seat belt, the Park Brake will NOT disengage. Please confirm this?
