        • So cool mate. I hope you're proud of that car. You should be!

.... Oh and the Passat isn't too bad either.

          • The Passat certainly gets some strange looks on the street.

When people see the car they get this puzzled look on their face, then they spot the VW on the grill and look even more puzzled!

The Dasher badge on the back just about makes their heads explode

                    • Spent most of the day stuffing about with speaker mountings.

The parcel shelf had been butchered by a previous owner so I re-used the holes as best I could.

That area of the deck isn't flat so I had to do some not so high-tech carving of MDF to make up some spacers.

The car is to be re trimmed own the track, I'll probably rethink this approach.

I sealed the spacers down with silastic but stuck duct tape down prior so it'll be easy to remove.

Speakers are fastened to the deck with M4 nutserts.

Temporary carpet back in place. Grills will go on the speakers when the final trim has been done.

Air supply for the horn mounted up neatly out of the way behind the left hand tail light.

                      Just visible behind the grill

It's what I had lying about Plus you need more than one toot between refills. Hardest bit is to stop these systems gradually loosing pressure.

@ 100 - 150psi these horns are louder than suburban trains.

                              • Looking good, and that horn is a piece of work.

I still you've got the fuel filter between the pump and the carby. I thought this was a bit of a no-no?
