Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

    Retrofitting Dynaudio question

This is the correct amp part number: last pic was incorrect which I've removed

Thanks guys, you are extremely helpful. I guess I will have to start looking for a proper system again.

No worries, lucky you mentioned what you were getting otherwise it may of been a bit harder to get a refund when you received it.

Just a few months too late, otherwise I could of sold you a dynaudio system, surprisingly there wasn't must interest from anyone in Aus for the system so I popped it on eBay international and it went to Romania.

I have been looking for one for around a year, and then I lost interest, they are rare and it was almost impossible to find. Yesterday I went to eBay, and I found that one, I even asked the seller if it works on my CC, and he said yes Ah well, I'm glad I asked on the forum

That was likely the 'VW Sound System' which is Blaupunkt speakers and Panasonic amp (panasonic is mentioned in the ad).
It is likely the seller doesn't know the difference between the Passat Dynaudio system and the PAssat 250w audio system (or they do and are hoping to rip someone off).

Always ask for pictures of the stickers on the speakers. They have a VW part number as well as a Dynaudio part number and impedence.

Thanks heaps kamold. I have found some complete systems in Poland, I will contact the sellers to see if they ship to Aus.
Will look in Germany as well.

                    Try ebay.de and ebay.co.uk
I got mine from the US in the end.

Keep in mind to look for a amp with part number 3C8 035 456 C. This amp is tuned for the cabin of the CC.

Not sure if there will be a noticeable difference but it must of been done for a reason....

These things are almost impossible to find anywhere... I have seen many of them were available in June... After that, it just went dry...
