I guess gead was just saying if you wanted a white sedan you'd have to pay extra than a blue sedan no options ticked (all discounts aside) Cos to get white, you had to get a sunroof with it...an odd bit of logic there...

Why would I have had to get a sunroof with it? Sorry - I'm still confused.

I have asked for it to be fully optioned including 'lane assist' and a roof rack with bike holder. The list price was around 87K on the road. They seemed to have little issue dropping that down to 80K. I have not signed yet.

What colour did you go for. Im swaying towards black with black interior
I went with black/beige (two tone interior) and black exterior. We were going to go black/black but when we learned beige = two tone black/beige, that idea looked better to us (for no extra cost). If there is no version like that at Chatswood to see in the flesh, I've got some pics of my car on my Newbie introduction post.

BTW with the price, you might be able to push them a little bit lower (which you probably have planned anyway). My discount amounted to around 10-11% off RRP.

        Good luck.

that's what VW stipulate....dig out the brochure if you have one, and look at the asterisk next to candy white....something like "candy white only available with sunroof cost option"....

            Good feedback guys.

I was actually ready to start modding the STi with new turbo, FMIC, ECU etc. etc. and stopped to think where was I going with all of that!?

Anyways, the attraction of something a little more tame and less target for 'P' platers was a lot more appealing.

I like the R36 and has always been high on the list, but the CC especially with its long list of options is very nice too. Any details on an 'R' version of the Passat CC?

Cheers. I'll go have a look at the newbie section.
Thanks for sharing the discount you got. Much appreciated.

I'm now at about 1800km on the clock after 4 weeks of ownership. Picked it up on a Friday and was on the track two days later. So wasn't even red lining it at the track day!

No head room in back seat

Called into dealership tonight (picked up loan car whilst waiting for my R36) and while I was there I checked out the CC. I must say the front end is very impressive as is the internal fit out (rear end equally disappointing IMO). One observation is the lack of head room when in back seat. I am well short of 6ft and my head was touching the roof. Obviously the more slim line design of the CC has meant a sacrifice in this area. Other than that and rear end design, this is one impressive car - glad I went with the R36 though!!!!
