Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before.   • GPS-location icon questions in Discover Pro

    A small question; I took home my Arteon yesterday and did a complete factory reset in the system because the dealer forgot. Before I did this I had this icon in the top of the Discover Pro screen: (the car with GPS).

    Now I enabled Car-Net and coupled it with my phone and account yesterday. But now I have an icon (globe with key), which is not in the manuals. What does the globe with key icon mean and how do I get the icon with GPS localization back? The manual isn't clear about this unfortunately....

    I hope someone can help!

    PS: GPS tracking in Car-Net App/Website is working....
