Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. • 6th year service cost

    Hi All,

Can someone share how much is for 6th year service for 125 auto MY10 by VW Sydney dealer? I got Sydney dealer quote about $800.

    Thank you

6yr/90K service is air and cabin filters, on top of the basic service.

Will also need the Haldex coupling serviced if it's a 4Mo, as that's done every 3yrs on MY10>.

    I'd charge ~$420. ~$500 if it's a 4Mo.

Get Umai Naa!! who is a mobile VW mechanic to do it for you - no way i would pay the dealership $800 for that service just to have an apprentice do the work.

Get an experienced and passionate mechanic to do the work, and save some money at the same time.

        Thanks Lucas, Umai,

is brake fluid to be changed on 6th year service? Service items are exactly same as dealer would do?

Brake fluid is every 2 years, so if it hasn't been done in that time, then yeah factor that in as well.

Yeah, what I posted is as per the service intervals.

Mine is up for 6th year service in couple of weeks at VW Mascot, I will let you know how much it was. Please note, sometimes dealerships over-quote and the final invoice can be less, this have happened with me few times already.
