Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

I bought some Narva 120% plus bulbs for the low beam. Drivers side was very easy. But the passengers Side was a pain. I ended up removing the headlight Support bracket. Along the top of the headlights .
Some of you might have small hands but to get your hand down between the fuse box and the low beam was very painful I did manage to remove it but no way could I reinstall the Fitting I've still got the marks on my wrist. To prove. How tight it was.

You sure that's how you got a swelling in your wrist?

Hopefully it's like the pre-FL Tiguan, where you can pull the whole headlight out quite easily.

I got the L/H. In but only after removing the Metal bracket. That holds the top of the headlight in place. The R/H. Was a piece of cake Hopefully. One doesn't have to change the L/H. Again. ?
