I had it on my car for a couple of month, I had to remove it because my wife didn't like the noise. I didn't have any issues with it.

Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled
After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.
Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before.
We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

I have used both the GFB DV+ and CTS diverter valve and my understanding is that they are designed to hold boost better than stock, unlike a blow off valve the air is recirculated in the intake manifold rather than released into he atmosphere. So it is strange that the Forge DV is creating a new 'noise'..........VW Tiguan 162 TSI Highline w/ R-Line & DAP. Thanks Suffolk, best explanatory video for DV vs BoV. This confirms my earlier post that a DV recirculates air into the intake manifold vs a BoV which releases air into the atmosphere producing the additional "noise." See 9.10 for where the ECS explains the difference.Last edited by Melbourne_Tiggy; 16-06-2016, 09:30 PM.VW Tiguan 162 TSI Highline w/ R-Line & DAP. Did a muffler delete today but not 100% happy with the sound.
Too much drone and getting a loud high pitch squealing noise on WOT.
Going to return and find out if there is a leak. Also going to put a sports muffler on and maybe a hotdog resonator.
Has anyone had any similar experience to share?

I ended up with a sports muffler and hotdog resonator and it had a decent amount of noise on WOT but was still reasonably quiet at cruising speeds. Plus DSG pops

Any videos or sound clips?
Really want DSG pops. Muffler delete did it but only on 2000-3000 rpm with 1st and 2nd gear. Wasn't noticeable like what gti's produce.

Probably best clip with just the rear sports muffler and no resonator (cold start):
Here's a launch after the resonator was fitted:
And a pic of the exhaust showing muffler and hotdog resonator. Not sure of the brand of each, however the suitcase muffler was through HM Headers in Melbourne and the hotdog muffler was installed by my local exhaust shop:

Thanks for the help tigger73.
Got rid of the muffler delete and went catback exhaust with 3inch piping.
Got a sports muffler and hotdog resonator.
Finally able to get DSG pops.
A bit too loud for my liking still.
Should I be change the resonator or rear muffler? Or add another resonator if space permits?

Just drive it for 1,500-2,000km and it will tone down. You have to wait until the exhaust soots up before you know what it's going to be like long term. I wouldn't go making changes unless it's way too loud.
