I've had the stickers on my Scirocco for a couple of months now and they're still hanging on quite well even with rain and weekly washing.

I think they look better than the plugs and a sheet of 100 is only $8 at Bunnings.

Modding 2 cars at the same time certainly keeps a man busy doesn't it!! So, which car is getting the red calipers?

I was going to paint the Scirocco's calipers red.... but thinking about it the Tig would good with red brakes too.

Do you think there's enough to do 2 cars from the one kit?

I think you will get close because the paint goes a long way - i think i still have some paint left over from my other Foliatec kit from when i painted my GTI brakes. I could send it to you if you run out. I will check tonight.

The calipers look great! Did you apply a base coat?

No just cleaned with degreaser and then painted straight onto the bare metal.

This was using Foliatec caliper paint which is a 2 part paint with colour and hardener that you mix up. It goes on with a brush and you have to use it within an hour or two before it goes off.

I've used the VHT high temp rattle can stuff before and this gives a far superior finish (hard gloss). The VHT paint seems to attract brake dust and ends up looking pretty average after a few months.

Interesting, I was gong to go down the high temp spray paint route but I was actually wondering what the brake dust situation was.

Looks good just wondering if those holes would fit the Reverse sensors but wired to the brake pedal ,that way you could park closer to the car in front or a wall ?

I since took the plugs off the top holes and replaced them with carpentry screw cover/ stickers which I painted with touch up paint.

But to answer your question, no the holes would not be large enough to put sensors in. The clips themselves look a bit like park sensors which makes them look not so bad. However the stick on dots are cleaner.

Great shots! The Tig must have eaten that terrain up. Are those aftermarket wheel arches?

                              No they're R-line wheel arches fitted to a non-rline.

Previous owner bought these from Germany(?) and fitted them.

Damn they look really good, I wonder if it's possible to buy them. Reason I ask is I have totally butchered my OEM wheel arches whilst doing the upgrades to my tig (i.e. snapped off a lot of the pieces that hold it to the car) so I'm thinking an upgrade could be in order...
