    Thanks man! I hope so!

Actually I can recode data in a memory card in PBox and see how it rounds up the time. It gives all the acceleration points with a table and interpolated graph, so can get time to two decimal points.

I will do my next run after install a new intake, and springs and hopefully with a new tune in Easter holidays. By that time I hope to have a run with 104 oct file as well.

    • On Stage 1 w/Carbonio my 0-100 (106 indicated on AutoPolar) best was 5.39 sec on a 18 degree night. My best 1/4 Mile was 14.054 3/4 tank of fuel, didn't change tyre pressure or take the sub/suitcase/cameras out of the car (2013 Volkswagen Tiguan 155 TSI 1/4 mile trap speeds 0-60 - DragTimes.com). So I don't think you'll have much of a problem doing sub 5 seconds and low 13 sec 1/4 Miles. The only difference between our cars as far as weight is concerned is that you have a glass roof which might add some weight, but it should only be a small difference.

The changes I've made since then is a DV Upgrade (existing one crapped itself) and a 2.5" TT Catback exhaust which I doubt would make much of a difference unless I go K04.

This is what Cliff got who has another K04 Tig in Australia.
      2013 Volkswagen Tiguan 132 pacific 1/4 mile Drag Racing timeslip specs 0-60 - DragTimes.com

*Cliff doesn't have a DP yet so he's probably got a decent improvement on that.

Yes as a next phase of mods I will try to reduce the weight of the car more than 50 kg to bring it's curb weight to 15xx kg bracket instead of 16xx kg. I will do this with a light weight exhaust, brakes, aluminium lower control arms and light weight crank pulley, wheels ,spare tire removal and a light weight battery.

Then for the performance upgrade I will add intake, cat back, DV2+ and new tune so I will be able to add another 20 - 25 hp and about 40 lb ft extra torque on top what I have now.

If everything fails I may run water meth with 104 oct file to call it a day and hopefully conclude my build thread end of this year

I will, I promise! Carbonio and GFB DV+ on the way. I will build my own version of catback.

Then all performance mods will be over except new upcoming tune.

PS: You could be right too. I am just contemplating of reboring and upgrading pistons and rods too. hahaha!

I will install this kit during the weekend with a second hand Carbonio intake I purchased from Tiggy1. Hopefully they do what their name suggests

That Carbio has done the rounds... Started out on Sharkies Tig then almost got on my car, ended up with Tiggy1 instead and now it's going on your car

You've got a piece of forum history in your hands....

Re go fast bits unfortunately there's no evidence that your car will go faster with it

I heard some good news about this DV, if it can stop any boost leaks under high boost may be it will !!

                      • The Carbonio is quite good. The only disappointing thing is that it appears to produce higher intake temps when in stop and go traffic than the stock one. I would say it's because of the large surface area and also it's rather black. There is a slightly noticeable performance gain overall, mainly in responsiveness. With a K04 you should notice it more.

The GFB DV+ made a big difference for me, but that's because my stock DV was leaking a little. The main thing it does is make things a little more responsive because it holds boost better and doesn't open when it doesn't have to, but you have to install the spring for that (can throw a code). Install is easy btw, getting at the DV is another story but given your K04 install experience I'm sure you will find it super easy.

I wasn't aware that the Carbonio had worse performance in traffic. Probably also due to its position I'd say. A lot of other intakes have an elbow and take air from around the back of the headlight area whereas the Carbonio is "straight through". So it'll probably cop a bit more heat from the engine due to proximity.

I'm actually interested in the GFB DV+ but not sure it's going to provide any major gains unless you've got a faulty/busted DV.

Either way I'll be interested to get feedback and see if you can crack into the 4's

                              • My guess is a new badge for your boot.... Only a hunch but I could also be way off. New Tig R??

Well you do have K04 and performance to match.... I'd thought about doing something similar, however I've since figured I should also have the full r-line body kit as well as K04 to be close to "badge engineering". I've left my boot badgeless because I still don't think it meets "spec".

But if you like the looks then absolutely nothing stopping you from putting a different badge on your boot.
