I find with your experience with your civic might be the tyres instead of the wheel size. Always get good tyres period.

Talking tyres, what size/make are you running on your 19 x 9's?

They had very good tyres on the wheels, i feel it was just too large a tyre for the car.

19x9 is a pretty huge wheel, especially with a 255 on it. Given the stock tyres are 215's its a fairly large increase in contact patch.

I just dont want to spend the cash on these wheels only to find i dont like them.

I might have to look into these springs though

I have 19's & eibach springs (not as much lowering as H&R) & am quite (really) happy with the look & feel.
Also kept my stock wheels for doing road trips, which I did over Christmas, & the Tig didn't look quite right being lower with stock 16" wheels...

Lile MGV I will be going with Eibach springs as the drop isn't too much. The tyres that originally came with my R Line Omanyt wheels were 255 wide which even for 9J wheels I though to be too wide! My current wheels are 8.5J so the width is more prominent as the wheel face sits slightly further in. When I come to change the tyres my plan is to drop down to a 245 or even 240 width as this will then give a flusher finish and make the wheels stand out more and look bigger.

Sticking with 255/40R19 oem recommended size.

Ended up with Kumho escta 4x, very good dry grip so far. Tire Rack - Testing Value Priced Ultra High Performance All-Season Tires - YouTube

I bought a set off this guy also. Where is he getting them all from???

Working out if I should sell the stock wheels with good tread still on tyres or wear them out and buy new tyres for the 19" then?

I want to get the wheel arch flares also so might waiot until I have tyres and flares.

Bit off toppic but how much would a good condition set of stock 16' wheels sell for? Estimates?

Suggest you keep one wheel as a full size spare and sell the others. I think most people would be happy to buy 1 as a spare with 10% tread.

I know there's quite a few people on here that would be very happy to get a full size spare so don't think you'd have a problem shifting them.

Depending on price i may be interested in buying one from you. Space savers should be banned i reckon and i am more than happy to lose some floor space when fitting the full sized spare wheel
