How about "somebody" explains as it doesn't look as if the OP is going to. I for one would be interested !!

Just as the OP has never updated us with a video/sound-bite of the resonator delete so we have a full comparison.

Hm, and then some get their undies in the knot, when the moderators delete the posts that are not helpful, have potential to cause the drop in sale to businesses, where in the reality the owner of the car or some third party is at the fault.

I let Nindey to change (edit) the title of this thread, but he doesn't visit very often, so will have to most likely do it for him.

I think this thread is interesting and certainly doesn't paint APR in a poor light. As a potential customer I find the way APR have approached this issue very professional and would inspire me with confidence in dealing with them. They are at the top end of town as far as tunes and functionality goes, but as with most things you get what you pay for.

Funny thing about customer complaints is that usually when they're fixed up you hear nothing (even if the problem wasn't with the product). At least everyone that reads this thread get to see how far APR are prepared to go to ensure their customers are satisfied. Sounds like as we haven't heard from Nindey that his problem has gone away. Otherwise I'm sure he'd have posted.

I concur with Tigger. I intend to have my Tiggy visit APR at around 5000k. (Currently 3,200 and after a visit to the bloody panel beaters because some A hole banged the back hatch and bolted 7 weeks old!!!!!)

I have extensively read the threads relating to APR and other tuners and am more than satisfied that APR know their stuff and their customer service appears very good. I have been out to the APR rep in Canberra, had a good chat and he impressed at every level.

              Cheers

                problem resolved - my mistake

problem resolved - my mistake regarding tune... The tune is making the numbers so I apologise to all for a wasted thread, everyones opinion is different and some people may have the same tune and auto and feel completely different how the car feels, I should have bought a manual.

As far as car stuttering and loss of power, it is due to faulty coil pack which is undriveable in tune so I am driving in stock until VW changes it.

Wow, that is the first time i have heard of a coilpack going in a Tiguan so far......
Fingers crossed VW can sort that one out for you.

Thanks for the update, Nindey, hope you get it sorted soon! I take it you had it dyno'd? ("making the numbers")
Don't feel as though this is a wasted thread, interesting reading! I don't think the name of the thread needed to be changed, though... Or possible content of the posts within...

I think it did, as some people will not read all 84 posts and will form the opinion just from reading the first few posts.
                      But, I respect your opinion.

Really vindicates the general theme of this post; APR are highly reputable with a quality product

                        Cheers

                            Hi there,

Not sure if this is the right thread to ask this question but here goes. Has anyone here had an APR Stage 1 Tune on a Tiguan 118TSI? Are there any possible complications with the Bluemotion Start-Stop function on this model?

                            Thanks.

The 118 is a different engine to the 132/155. It is the same donk that is in the Polo GTI, Jetta etc. I think it can be APR'd to about 142. The 132/155 can go to 189. I now have 3,600k on my Tiggy and whilst I have said I will wait until I have 5k on the same, the temptation is getting too much. The end of the week I reckon. I will let the readers of this thread know how it goes.

                              Cheers
