Shoe manufacturer? Did I miss something? If you hate Tiguans so much why are you even in this thread? A good natured ribbing I can take but unless you've got something constructive to say take a hike.

Yeah I guess, make sure you factor in brakes and suspension, often people leave those off and is a big mistake...

Also you will have to change insurers as most will not accept this level of modification, just those little things to consider.

Well you're hardly likely to endear yourself to people in this thread by insulting the car they drive and love. As for the adidas thing I don't see what it has to do with a Tiguan.

What sort of power you think you'd be putting out with the K04 kit, DP, exhaust and intake Sharkie? About 260kw?

                Hey Mate,
I think its great you love your car, Tigs serve their purpose as a soccer mums car or family run about I would buy one over any other soft roader out there. Modifying has netted you some good gains, more or less bringing you closer in the straight line to some of VW's sports models (standard), however dynamically it is still a Tig, if you throw your $12k at the car, it is Franky insane as you will need to spend big dollars to try and address physics which says that car will not handle and and will struggle pull up like the cars you are using as a bench mark.

I cannot see how people in Tig's are laughing at Deans Pirelli or any other GTI or Golf .:R is silly, as these cars are designed to be quick and are not dynamically floored. You would be pissing money up the wall if you even tried to compete with these as the purpose of your cars design could not be any further from being a fast performance car. Buy your Porsche and go to a track and you can laugh all you want as they are engineered to be performance cars, that being said they are expensive to make faster so if you are happy to live with what you get in the Porsche, by all means go down that path, otherwise I suggest you buy something which is a better starting base than a Tig and has more modifying potential the porsche. (which isnt going to break that bank)

I can vouch for Dean's car and many other late model Golfs with modest mods, that they would hose the doors of your Tig not only around corners but in a straight line. I wish my car (with about 50 or 60kw less at the wheels than Deans and lacking an LSD) hadn't been written of,f as I have no doubt it would embarass your Tig and any other person (very substantially) out there living in lala land thinking they brought a Cheap AWD 2.0T "performance car" which will dominate should they go down the standard 2.0T modding path.

Firstly, a forum can be defined as 'a public meeting or assembly for open discussion' everyone is allowed an opinion, I just commented on the design, I have nothing against the engineering involved and the practicality for the MILF's etc..

Secondly, I was making a point, you were teasing me about the Pirelli Edition, I was saying yes, but at least it wasn't as lame as the GTI Adidas Edition which is the MK6 limited edition.

Who laughed at Deans car? He was the one that came in here bagging out Tiguans! Get your facts straight dude!

By your definition a Golf is no better. They were designed to be an A-B city car and not a ground up race car.

You think 57 Chevs were designed to be race cars? No! But they do 7sec 1/4s after being heavily modified. Pull your heads in.

And where did this become a Tig vs Golf forum? What is wrong with you guys that you feel the need to justify how fast your cars are by paying out on others?

Go to a forum where someone may (a) want to listen to your "I can piss further you can" comments and (b) wants to have a pointless discussion with the penis challenged.

Apologies if that's a bit harsh but these guys are way out of order and full of a foul smelling substance.

I am sorry that I don't like the design of the Tig, it is MY opinion. Unless you had an involvement in the design of the car I don't see why you are getting your knickers in a knot.

Because I own it and love it and so do the rest of the guys in this Tiguan Forum. How well received would someone be if they came into the Golf forum and told everyone they drive an ugly car? You really aren't very smart are you?

I was by no means trying to "be out of order", Sharkies Dilema was asking peoples opinions and I shared my opinion (just because it doesnt match your's does not mean I am wrong).

A simple agree to disagree would have surficed with out trying imply things, being a forum I am entitled my opinion (which was asked), I have owned several cars (non VW, my GTI was my first and possibly my last VW) and driven many as well. I am by no means a track warrior or a car guru, but it does not take either to establish that a Tig is not a good starting base for a performance car, if you can prove me wrong I will aplaude you and tell my boss to modify his Holden Captiva.

Again for the iliterate, a GTI is not a ground up race car, it is a modified hatchback which is FWD, this is not a good basis for a sports car either, ask any racer.

Just about any car can be made fast, and to handle given time and money, you're just showing your ignorance and prejudice.

And that's the last comment I'll make, you can't educate the ignorant.
