  • How to buy a MY11 Tiguan 125TSI or 103TDI with DSG ?

Hi Tiguan owners and prospective buyers !!!

Members of the family are considering joining the Tiguan brigade

    What they're after......
    -MY11 Tiguan
    -Candy White
-125TSI (103TDI if the dealer can budge closer to 40K)
    -DSG

No options but the dealer have thrown in floor mats (rubber or carpet) and the vehicle protection package which includes
    -Paint/Interior (Fabric and Carpet) Protection
    -Window tint

    Offered $40,500.00 Driveaway.

Seems steep after what I've read here - if possible they would like to buy a 103TDI for the same price.

Whats everyones opinion and tips ?

Not even comfort pack or MDI? I wouldn't pay more then $37-$37500 on road. Especially since its white and doesn't require metallic paint.

Pay no more than $38K for a DSG TSI and $40K for a DSG TDI.

Also, have them consider the Comfort Package. It is the single best option on those 2 models. Auto lights and wipers, we can't do without it. In fact we will order every VW with it, unless it comes standard.

Yep, I got mine for just above $41k; comfort package, pearl black, New York alloys, rubber mats (my choice because of the kids, and a really wise one), MDI, Bluetooth, roof racks and roofpod. 2010 model. This was from Bill Buckle in Sydney.

Make sure you get a Tig. It is fantastic.

Protection package is worthless get them to trade it for the comfort pack or another option.
Also i would say 40k for the TDI or no deal.

I agree with the general reaction above...$40 should get you a lot more than the features you have listed (very few)

I assume you mean auto or DSG? If so, no more than $37,000 d/away for white...

I know I bought mine in Aug 2009, but I paid $43,400 for Comfort pack, Leather, Panoramic sunroof, Foglights, Tint, Genuine Mats, Black metallic paint. (But mine is Manual, so allow a bit for that)

Just today, we signed up for our TDI Tiguan (fully optioned except ACC and fog lights). When I say fully optioned... every single thing ticked except those two. And we paid in the low-mid $50's.

So what I'm saying is.... $40k for candy white with DSG only seems high. That said, the "on road" costs in SA might be a lot more than QLD.
