Best to use 98Ron fuel.
95 doesn't burn as efficiently so any saving you may make at the pump ($1 per fill up) will no be seen as you will fill up more often and may do damage to your engine.
I will only be running BP Ultimate in mine when i need to fill up as i don't want to ruin the car i spent nearly 40k on for a $1 saving that will never be realised.

I just hope the prices don't jump stupidly high to counter the loss's they are having atm.Originally posted by clip View Postlet's hope they don't go bust though. My Tig hates pretty much everything else

I can say that in my last car, the BP ultimate was for a certainty better than the Shell V-Power. Dont know why, or if it was all in my mind, but it seemed to run quieter and smoother through the power delivery.
In the tig, i often use the Caltex Vortex 98 (as it is my local garage mainly). Whenever I can though, I fill with 98 BP, and it seeems great. Never gone back to the shell product to try...2018 Ralyee Green RS wagon. Fully optioned.

I have found V-Power to be more responsive than BP-Ultimate when fresh. It does seem to lose its edge over time if not used .... If I know its going to be in the car for a while I use BP, if I expect it to be all used within a day or so I use Shell.
V-Power (if fresh) produces the best dyno results I've found as well ......Current: 2023 MY23 T-Roc R Lapiz Blue + Beats Audio + Black pack 2018 MY19 Golf R manual Lapiz Blue + DAP) 2014 Amarok TSI Red (tuned over 200kw + lots of extras) 2013 Up! manual Red 2017 Polo GTI manual Black Previous VWs and some others ...
