Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before.     If my kids come with us then I'd like to go to Glow worms tunnel ( they missed out the last trip). If not I don't might if we go there or not.

    For those want to go to Glow worm tunnel, you need to bring a torch and a bottle of water.

        Yeah, I know from experience that my Tig's Bridgestone Dueler HP's don't work so well on wet dirt, so if it is raining on the day I will definitely pull out I'm afraid.

        Just to let you know as well, the chances of me coming anyway have diminished due to my girlfriend going into hospital. If she's not out and up to it by Saturday, at best I will drive up just to meet you all and maybe do the first leg of the trip to lost world/low worm caves. If Alex G has finished my skid plate by then you can all take a look as I believe all that have confirmed going so far were interested.

        Sorry if this stuffs your plans up guys.

          Agreed. Not worth the trip if it's raining. And I hope Shannon gets well soon!

                Sorry guys, but I'm definitely pulling out of this weekends trip. Looks like the forecast is for rain on Saturday anyway.

                I'm keen on doing the trip still, just not this weekend. If you do end up going, take lots of pics and I'd love to hear the stories.

                  If that the case, why don't we call off and leave it till everyone can go. It's a bit hard to go through Blackfellows Hand if it rain.

                      I'll drive to Gold Coast next week and be back to Sydney on the 17/04. So it's good to see the fuel consumption on the various drives.

                        Just a quick check to see if anyone would be keen on trying this trip on Anzac Day (Sunday 25th April)? Nice 3 day weekend, so we can do the trip on the Sunday and have Monday to recover. We hopefully miss the crowd heading out of town on Sat and back in on Mon too.

                        I can't do the Saturday due to a sports commitment.

                          Dean, reckon you can get your gearbox fixed in time?

                            Yeah, I fear this is off the table for me now as my gearbox isn't happy. You guys may end up doing this trip without me at this rate as it's the second time I've been the one pulling out first. Sorry fella's.
