Depends on what you mean by nasty...

Your Tig won't look nice and shiny after the trip. But it'll be worth it!

How are we going to do it? Are we going to meet up at Lithgow or you want to meet up somewhere in Parramatta and make our way there together?

          Have your saying guys

If the start is at Zig Zag then no point meeting up at Lithgow. I'd be keen driving up there via Bell's Line of Road rather than the highway, so could meet up at Windsor / Richmond / or that great lookout at Kurrajong...

Well, it's going to take Chris and I about 1.5 hours to get there I figure, and a bit longer for Achtung (I've seem him driving ) so 9am means a VERY early start. It's not a particularly long track at 55km's, so it shouldn't take us that long anyway, even at a leasurely pace. If we start at 9 it'll probably be over before lunch!

That's just my opinion though. Happy to hear others.

No, we won't finish before 12:00 at all. If we want to do Glow-worms tunnel, we have to walk to the tunnel from the carpark and it's around 2km (through the bush) and we'll spent a bit of time there. Then heading back out to the carpark.... From the carpark we have to back track to Blackfellows hand trails (that where the fun begin)

It's will be fully on, all day Arctra

I'm also happy for the early start, its a looong drive back from Newnes - like 3 hours +

Its a beautiful drive out of the Wolgan Valley though

lol! for the last GTG my tig was still pretty new (<1000km) and I was trying to break her in gently. I have since redlined it a couple of times.

Does anyone know what we're in for? If it's going to be like that then I starting to get worried. And isn't part of out route also on Blackfellows Hands?

The link to the Prado is part of the route (on Blackfellows Hands Trail), but we can alway go around it or the worst case turn around.

But for the second links with the Hilux, as I remember there is a trail only for 4X4 only and it's parallel to the dirt track, where we'll be on.We wont go there though.

I did the track a few years ago with a Toyota Kluger, and I did that track solo and had no problem.

We'll have a great day. I'm looking forward to that day

I'm just yankin' your chain mate... seeing if you'd rise to it

Agreed... looking at the Hilux video we definitely don't have the clearance to try that. Even the big puddles I wouldn't try in the Tig, but given how dry it's been for the last couple of weeks, and assuming it stays dry till Easter, we should be fine.

Even if I have my skid plate fitted by then, I am not going to take any chances on the tougher tracks where clearance is needed. I'm willing to give it a go, but am just as happy to turn back if I'm out of my depth.

As for the length of the day, I will take your word for it as you've done it before. My partner will not be able to walk to the glow worm caves though, so if there was a part to skip in order to make it a reasonable da out, that'd be the part I vote off. Glow worm caves are pretty though, so I could understand others being keen on going to it. Once a time is agreed I'll work to it... I just gave my suggestion, that's all
