Tempe do 18" wheels for Audi/VW with either 35 or 45 offset.

they reckon both offsets will fit on the Tig

Tigga1, How did you get THAT MUCH info from Tempe Tyres??? I have calling then, emailing them and I get stock, 1-2 word answers without much detail. When I ask exact - straight to the point questions, I get the feeling the guy is cursing me...? I even asked the question on another thread on how reputable Tempe are, given we are in Brisbane, and can't walk in.

Thank you for asking the same question I had in mind

We are also looking at getting some 18" for the new Tiguan for when it arrives and I was thinking about which offset.

This is the answer I got only just this morning...

    hey,

we are sold out of the P206's and have no ETA for them.

i have done up to 22" on the tiguan. and they do not rub.

    mick

I would like to see some 22" on the Tiguan! But which 22" wheel is he talking about??

Probably some hideously ugly chrome abominations that would be better suited to being jewellery on a cheap emo whore than a car wheel.

          Pimp My Ride style!

Tempe are helpfull if you ask questions that they can easily answer i.e. availability and price.

If you ask about centre-bore size and fitment issues they stonewall and don't answer as it's too hard.

I'd be keen to see what some of wheels look like fitted to a Tiguan. i.e. 17", 18" or 19" with the different offsets or with the various styles of wheels and tyre choices available.

(thanks team_v for the mock ups you did on my first thread!! )

So far we have narrowed it down to a few styles from Tempe Tyres (a couple are sold out and therefore no ETA on new shipments)

              These are our current options:

I like the middle one, as it reminds me a bit of the OEM 16" wheel, with similar lines...would have to have VW inserts though

Apparently the wheels are available with VW inserts/centres too.... or if we want the genuine items, they can be ordered via a dealer for much more $$.

maybe we can do a "group buy"...?

                      Hi,

We would be keen on the middle version too... in 18". So far Tempe Tyres have quoted me $1499 fitted and balanced with Kuhmo KU31 tyres in 235/50x18 - delivered to our door (Brisbane) for an extra $150.

Hard to find out from them though, what offset they come in. It just says "a variety of offsets".

Basically they would come ready to fit onto the car. Here is the link from their site that gives a little more detail plus some pics fitted onto a couple of Audis.
Seeing their deal includes lock nuts, I think the middle ones with the cover over the centre would hide the lock nut too.

(St) Georges Tyres do the same wheels, they're in Melbourne I think...?
                        and they specify either offset.

You're 100% correct - I found a "St George Tyres" at Arncliffe in SYD (about 1min away from Tempe Tyres) who looks like doing them, and also "7 Day Tyres & Wheels" at Granville also in SYD who sells them and they get shipped from Tempe Tyres...? conspiracy or what...? So far got most responses from Tempe.

May wait until the Tiguan gets delivered and then spend some additional $$ on these wheels. A little less expensive than going with the 'New York' VW wheels, where I got quoted $2300 without tyres!

I'm not sure how you would put together a group deal for different wheels for different people? Maybe we mention that we are forum members

                            18" RS4 reps with 235/50 tyres lowered on H&R springs;

Those are 42 offset, try and get 35 if you can, will look nicer with a bit more poke.

Yeah, they're the go. Something that is "sort of" genuine looks good.
There's a Tig with 18" New York I see on my way home, and they look just too fancy/fussy. RS4s or the middle one above seem a lot better suited to the Tiguan

Group buy would be as simple as asking them what discount they'd put on a wheel package if you could guarantee 5 different sets, you're shopping around for a club. If they say 15%, put it up as a thread, see how many takers you get.

                                Hi all,

                                Interesting thread.

I am looking at wheel options for my black 147 due in November and am really interested in seeing what the 19" Savannah's look like.

Has anyone seen any pics with this option? Particulaly with the part black on em.

Brochure says you need flared guards, this is is ar$e covering BS right?

Can we expect Tempe Tyres/7 Day to have some decent replicas soon or am i kidding myself and should just look at a similar alternative? Comments welcome.

                                Cheers
