Definitely recommend the 147, fantastic performance. I drove a 125 and there was a big difference between them.

            • I am also getting a quote for Tiguan 147TSI Automatic
              Metallic Paint
              Leather
              Sunroof

              TOTAL ON ROAD = $48,984.
includes extra year warranty and 7.5 % discount on parts and service. now i am totally confused - rock and a hard place. HELP.

The quotes were from Camberwell Volkswagen (VIC).

              • I would probably go the 147 in this case since the extra's you get would add up to more than the extra cost, but they are making another 5K off you for a car you weren't after in the first place.

If you are able and willing to pay out the extra for the 147, it is probably a good deal but you shoudl ask yourself if it is really what you are after.

                        no options

                        $34900 drive away.

was quite happy with the pricing in the end.

Thank you to some of the members on here for their help as well.

                        • Now that's what I like to see - the best value is always the base model. The options give the car company the profit.
Not that the Tiguan base model is very "base" - alloys, leather wheel, steering wheel controls, 6 airbags, anti-slew, traction control. And German built.Nice.
TDI tiguan in the drive. ParkAssist, comfort, fogs
Service every 15,000, new fault code every 7,500km

thats great, you have probably paid one of the lowest prices paid

enjoy it, you'll love it and if the performance of the standard 125 is not quite enough (though it is more hands down than any of the other standard small SUVs) then you can always go the APR chip

Serious question - do you really buy a car thinking about the trade in value? That's a fairly cold way of purchasing a car.

The definition of 'value' is relative worth or merit, so you can pay for all those extras and if they are of relative merit or worth to you then they are good value.

I wouldn't have bought a Tiguan if I missed out on leather/sat nav/sunroof and the performance of the 147.
