I was a springwood VW on the weekend, DSG TDI Pacific, drive away for sub $35k. Was a "demo" with 120kms. Very tempted, good price and was very impressed with the car.

Looking to buy a white 103 TDI Pacific in Sydney that the dealer has in stock during the current sale. Vehicle has no options. What is a guide for a drive away price? Thanks.

Depends where the car is coming from and what colour/options you're looking to include.

If the dealer has to freight the car in, this obviously impacts on what the car costs them.

Check there are no conditions on the sale to say when it has to be delivered by as it may only relate to vehicles currently in stock. Then you'll have to go hunting for the colour and options.

You may be able to get a better deal if it is in the dealers stock.

What are the chances of getting a 103 TDI Pacific for around $35-36k during the current sale? Or am I pushing it too low?

They just don't feel like $50k+ cars, more like $30k cars. Did any of you guys consider buying a car that's 2-3 years old for the same amount. That way you can get a $90k car that's depreciated, for $50k yet it still feels, looks and drives like a $90k car.

I also got really turned off by the VW dealers. They all sprouted the same garb:
    - trying to sell me the year model based on compliance date vs build date.
    - telling me "there is only one left in the country"
    - telling me "there's one coming on the boat, but you need to secure to TODAY!"

    All bollocks.
My tig cost me $31k brand new...

What are you talking about with 50k? The 155TSI?

Just get a 132 and tune it
