Mine started out like that too .. up to 6 months (so it translated to March in my case). Then they moved the date to end Jan (plus minus 30 days - which was March anyway lol)
Next thing I knew it was on the boat and estimated to land first or second week of Dec. Give it 2 weeks for rego and other stuff, and I could have a nice Xmas or New Year present.
Sounds very nice indeed, are you keeping the regular plates or getting some Euro plates fitted? Trying to find out if the dealer can do that, as I dont want my front bumper resembling swiss cheese.

When we said we wanted a white pacific, they said we have to order it, and as we wanted 18 inch wheels and leather (didn't end up getting the wheels), they said up to 6 months. The paperwork actually says 30th June, so 7 months is more accurate.
Having said that, he assured me it would be in well before that.
Not that it worries me too much, gives me more time to save up for mods

DSG (Dealer informs me that new Pacifics are ordered with this now)

Was quite a nice surprise to hear the DSG is coming back, but with a quoted time of 6 months, it had better be good.
Wow .. and let me understand what you are saying - you gotta wait about 6 months from your order to delivery?

I'd buy the 155 over the 132 anytime, clip. 4 years ago, when we compared prices on the 125 and 147 (still the same prices) the extras the 147/155 had over the 125/132 was worth more than the difference in price. Gap is closer with the Pacific, but I'd still buy the 155.

Selling the Passat and returning to a Tig? Remeber to swap the steering wheel out again

Great, saves me some bucks that will pay for remapping, wheels etc. and I don't have to have leather interior- very happy about that too!

I was speaking with one of the dealers in Canberra on Friday and they mentioned the pacific will be getting the DSG again starting production week 49 onwards and retaining the extras.

Also that the other models may be getting the extras that the pacific model has at no extra cost.

An extra red "S" in the badge from memory.

Not a heap. There's upsized alloys, upgraded seats, chrome trims around the windows/roof rails, upgraded stereo and of course the 155kW tune instead of 132kW on the same engine. Peak power is up in the 155 but torque figures are the same. Plus if you want DSG you either have to go diesel or the 155 at the moment.

Given that VW are throwing in the comfort pack in the "Pacific" it does make the 2 packages a lot closer in spec and makes the 132 pretty good value.

18" wheels should be okay for comfort, i would't go any bigger though.
Best bet is to hit up some aftermarket suppliers, i know rotiform is having a 50% off sale for black friday.

    Hi all

Found this thread was great for figuring what to offer for the Tig we just bought (currently on a boat somewhere to Oz). Heres what we got:

132tsi Pacific with usual comfort pack and other bits, sunroof, black, manual, tints, carpet mats, boot mat, drive away... $37.5k.

OH and I are still debating the pros/cons of 18" wheels... I'm keen
