  • VW Tiguan TDI fuel pump issue

Hi guys. Can someone please assist me with finding the correct part for my 2008 VW Tiguan TDI. I'm after (what I believe) is the low pressure fuel pump as it's faulty on my Tiguan. Below is the photo Shared album - Nicolas Diaz - Google Photos

Not having much luck with wreckers or aftermarket OEM models. If anyone has any information I'd really appreciate it. Thank you

That looks like a fuel filter to me, but im not very familiar with the 2.0 TDI in the Tiguan. It could well be the low pressure fuel pump. Your best bet (assuming you know for sure that is the faulty part) is to remove the black metal cover, and then get the part number off the original part (the part number is usually something like 1K0 999 999) then Google that part number. Somewhere like VAGParts in Sydney can likely source it for you. Volkswagen & Audi Car Parts & Auto Parts. Shop Parts Online Australia– VAGPARTS Australia

I just looked at mine & it has the same part no on the sticker. It also has 5NO 906 129C, what ever that means.
Understand how it works, troubleshoot logically BEFORE replacing parts.

5N0 906 129 B is an Auxiliary Fuel Pump for TDI; you would need to check if the C version is a replacement or a different version.

          Does it look like this?

Agreed, id be very surprised if that was the high pressure fuel pump as it has rubber lines, all these modern engines run crazy high pressure fuel pumps and all have metal fuel lines to take the pressure.
