DAP is Driver Assist Package that you can add to your car depending on model etc. This (DAP) comprises of a number of features, HOWEVER in Australia SOME features are Excluded from this package. IT IS ONLY these features (such as Traffic Jam Assist) that we are discussing here regarding turning them on off whatever. You need to have this package first, then you need to see what is enabled/dissabled from this package on your vehicle. Hope this clarifies.Last edited by ArdiL; 22-03-2018, 09:54 AM.

That's not what VW wants and that's not what service centres want.
The Germans are clever, If they have released TJA active Tiguans in Australia then they might inform us to enable this feature on previous (compatible) models we would require a FREE software upgrade However we would need to pay for a new sensor, radar or camera that the new software is dependant on. Something along these lines is what I would assume.

Having just travelled the Great Western Highway from Sydney to Bathurst and back in Easter traffic, I can honestly say ACC and TJA are a godsend. What a neat piece of tech to take the stress out of a long weekend road trip. I never really saw the value in it until now.
ACC kept me away from double demerits and TJA kept me sane and the stiffness in my right ankle at bay in the queues.
If you don’t have it, I highly recommend you get it activated if your Tiguan is compatible.Tiguan Highline 162TSI | Indium Grey | DAP | MY18

I use it regularly in heavy Melbourne traffic below 30kmph and both lane assist works and ACC stops/starts car when car in front moves. This makes city driving a less stressful experience. The only issue I have with the system is that it doesn’t recognise Keep Clear areas, as it can’t detect then.MY18 VW Tiguan Comfortline

Otherwise TJA (I didnt know it's called this until today) is available in my 2017 by default and it works together with Lane Assist on lower speeds too (30-40 kmph)MY18 VW Tiguan Comfortline
