I was quoted only $18,000 for a trade on a 2014/2015 130 diesel Tiguan with just 18,000km on the clock a lot more than 40% more like 60% could be the diesel Gate scandal that is placed a lower value on this model ?

So after 4 years i can return it to VW for about 27k? In people's opinions does that sound about right from 59k? seemed a little low to me.

You need to do your numbers and make it work for you though, this system is not a lease from VW though and is a standard loan with a balloon after 4 years.. if you can't afford to pay out the balloon in 4 years then either expect to hand he car back or don't get it in the first place.

Appreciate the advice people. Seems i am best off going elsewhere with a loan as Volkswagen Finance cannot match or come close to the interest rates being offered by other vendors. Surprised they wouldn't even match them to get the business.
Cheers

I used VFS to save shifting some funds around and they were under the dodgy no-names; I think it just depends on whether they're keen to write the business and also the car/client profile.
The dodgy no-names usually have stiff establishment and early termination costs built in.

I know they won't lop much more than half of the fee usually, as that is their main upfront cut for writing the loan, but car finance should still be well into the 4s. As a rough guide aim for around 100 points over a good home loan rate.
Anyway, you can only get what you can get, so certainly run your business elsewhere.

Went to have a look at the Wolfsburg and decided that it was not for me, the Grey possibly and the HUD was a projected bit of plastic rather than on the windscreen, not sure why maybe angle or curvature? Bought the 162Rline with all three options plus paint for $59k driveaway in Perth.

Been quoted 50K for an allspace 132tsi comfortline with all the packages and black paint or 48k without the sound and vision package incl 5 years free servicing. Both demo models with about 1500 kms on them. There's apparently also a 2% offer available from VFS for the allspace runout. Am thinking there might a bit more room to squeeze a bit on the price? This is in QLD.132TSI Tiguan Allspace

Often these deals are built into the margins on the cars. They are effectively a VW discount on the car. Though in real terms it's probably not costing them that much as that's probably pretty close to what they are paying for the finance anyway.
