have received a quote for fully loaded 162tsi with

metallic paint
euro plates
boot liner
rubber mats
weather shields
sun blinds

57.5k - took a while to get there with much haggling with the sales manager.

my novated lease company's best price was 59k

first dealer i talked to started at 66k and final price was 64k (laugh!). Called a few other dealers in Sydney and none could or would match $57.5k

was pushing hard for the elusive 56k hehe

ETA is September/October

Gee you must be very good with haggling! My dealer won’t go any lower than $57.7 and believe me I have tried and I thought I did well. I only managed to get metallic paint, R-Line pack, DAP, boot liner, and tinting. Must be different here in Victoria..

My price of 56,880 was thru a broker in Vic. R-Line, DAP, Sunroof, metallic paint, slimline plates and full tank of fuel. Broking process was very simple and car was on ship when ordered. Waited 5 weeks for delivery.

interesting that people negotiated a full tank of petrol... the two VW's we've brought have both come will full tanks despite not negotiating/asking... must be dealer dependant.

I got my tint thrown in but it’s not going to be costing the dealer more than $250-300

I got to admit, I'm not missing the sunroof. Had it on previous cars but we were in same boat, budget... DAP was the choice. Its wonderful and it makes my daily trips to work in the VW Polo feel primitive.

Waaaaaaayyyy to much... I paid $220 for our golf to be tinted at an independent tinter..

Thanks guys for the tinting info. I found a place in Sydney who quoted me different tints, starts from $345 and goes up to $695, it depends which quality of film you ask for. So at the end the price increases if you use quality film. I checked other reputable tint companies and they have similar pricing, goes up if you use quality film.

Anyway, the dealer is using a company, which had bad reviews, so I will definitely leave my money elsewhere.

I am probably off topic with this in this thread so I will continue it in another, thanks for your help.

Yep! I really had to just choose one so the sunroof had to go. I have it on my Subie XV which the wife will be having but I doubt I will miss it too. DAP is essential for sure.
