Do folks just find a Golf R being wrecked to purchase the exhaust?

And is a mk7 R needed specifically to fit the Tiguan?

Yes Mk7 R as Mk6 R has twin exit in the centre.

There’s lots of stock Mk7 R exhausts floating around as many people change to aftermarket exhaust.

You can also maybe pick one up at a wrecker.

ahh good to know, assuming the market place in this forum is a good place to start?

As long as its a Mk7 golf right - and can be any make year (i.e. no subtle changes between Mk7s)?

I’m not sure if there’s difference between the wagon and hatch. Pretty sure most people have modified the hatch exhaust as these would be a lot more common.

Yes around the corner from me.

Though most people will be happy to give it away rather than having to take it to the dump/recyclers.

Speak to an exhaust shop or local tuner who may well have a collection of stock exhausts.

Would love to snap that up if only I was in Australia. Anyone keen to box one up and ship it over to NZ for me [emoji6]

Your misssing the DSG farts between gear changes.

Did you block the solenoid on the stock R muffler to keep it open all the time?

Launch control takes the fun DSG Farts away, but they are considerably quieter since putting in that centre muffler.

Did you need to cut the quad tips and weld extra pipes to fit the width of the tiguan at all or does the stock Golf R width fit perfectly in the Tiguan chrome hole inserts?

can anyone confirm the resonator on the Mk7 R exhaust needs to be removed to fit the R exhaust on to the tig?

EDIT: visited an exhaust shop and can confirmed the Golf R res needs to be removed in order to retro fit to the tiguan

Does anyone know specifically how to remove the rline fake chrome exhaust trims? How many clips are there, is wiring clipped to it at all?

I've searched the service manual, but it doesn't give any guidance for the rline rear bumper.
