  • How do I add photos I’m on my iPhone. It keeps saying invalid file type but it’s a JPEG?

Anyway in summary I painted all the grey stuff on my Tiguan on my 162TSI. Looks much nicer and fitted the R line steering wheel.

Are you using Tapatalk on your phone? Or just the web version. I find that Tapatalk app is better on a mobile.

With the Bluefin you get the controller so if I ever want to go back to stock I don't need to go revisit the APR dealer, I'd just reach out to the guys at superchips for support and do it myself.

In short would I recommend the Bluefin tune? Yes. Save the extra money for other mods!
Kha0r do you know putting the Bluefin tune would void the VW warranty? I recently bought my my19.5 162TSI r-line. I Dont want to Void the Warranty this soon.

Yes, you’ll void your drivetrain warranty on your new car.
Not a problem for some as they are willing to take that risk. I’d definitely wait 12Months, just to make sure that the ECU is ok. Flashing it back to stock and go and claim your warranty like the car was never tuned doesn’t have to work, since the VW will figure out that the car was running outside of the factory parameters.

Thanks Transporter. I will definitely wait for a bit. In the meantime, for the tune do we need to upgrade the intake?

              • Everyone seems to have an opinion on whether a tune voids warranty or not. Some say yes, others say no, some say it depends on the individual dealer... I haven't experienced it first hand but a stage 1 was the first thing I did to the car because the difference is night and day.

As for a Stage 1 tune, no other mods are required. I just got the intake for the noise... but it's not that noticeable actually.

What tune and claimed increase did you use and did the tune deliver the claimed increase? I am having a hard time believing some of the claimed numbers but maybe they are true and my scepticism not warranted.

                  • Definite seat-of-the-pants, put-a-smile-on-your-face, feel-it-on-the-butt-Dyno increase.
Give or take on exact figures, but like many have said, there’s night and day difference!

Osko not even joking, please try the bluefin. It’s got a two week no questions trial. You receive it. Plug it into your car. The thing downloads your cars map. You plug the thing into the pc. The pc talks to bluefin. Within a few hours someone in England sends you the new map. You download on car. Done. It’s amazing.

The difference is honestly there. I’ve had tunes before like on the golf r, where it’s pronounced... but this is real good. I don’t want to gee it up and set expectations too high, you know what I mean?

But it’s very good. Not going to ruin it for you any more than that.

And yes I’ve tuned a lot of cars over the years, Japanese and German.

                        What I have done lately..

Painted my vehicle to be color coded black. I wanted a R Line but a) it was another 3 month wait and b) it wasn’t actually faster so I wasn’t too fussed. But I never loved the grey plastic.. not Rline but definitely much nicer than standard high line.

Thanks for the reply, do you think it delivers the 70kw claimed?

Looks great! Glad you didn’t get the diesel version with the crummy tail pipe.
Mind if I ask how much and where you got It done?
