My Tiguan has arrived and this is my experience so far
I spoke to the stock controller today as my dealer was away, build starts week 16 and he said the boat will arrive is June , then 10days from that should be able to pick up.

There are lots of different voyages coming out of Bremerhaven. Some are more express type voyages where there a fewer ports of call (e.g. Brugge, Port Elizabeth, Melbourne, Sydney) and others have a lot more ports of call, like this one below:
There are others that go via South America (first) and then on to NZ and Australia. Once you get your VIN you'll be able to see which voyage you're on.
Forgot to mention, go to here https://schedule.2wglobal.com/ScheduleRWD/ and play around with the dates, it might give you an idea of what voyage your car may get assigned to. hvc01 and I were hoping we'd get on one of the express routes, and thankfully did.

Not sure a June delivery is realistic if it is build week 16. My new Audi was built last week (week 9) and it's not expected here until the very end of May. Currently we are in build week 10 so six weeks on is late April before you even have a car. Good news if it is June

From what others have said previously, no the forward number plate mount cannot be removed.
I've ordered the full sized Euro black plates for this reason. Anything else would look silly.
Hi Don, just a quick one, I have successfully removed the front mount, the centre of the plugs push out, and remounted slim line plates. Obtained some colour coded plugs for the existing holes off the internet, very happy with the look. Cheers mate.
Hi All, I was told there will be a shipment of Tiguan 162TSI arriving 1st March (Melbourne). Is there anyone waiting for their vehicle on that shipment ?

wow .. good work finding the plugs .. are they sold online as for this particular automotive purpose or is just general hardware plugs? .. what other colours do they have? .. mind sharing the link?
