The AC in my car has no operational problems in hot weather with stop/go activated. if the weather is very hot or the battery voltage drops too low the stop/go is either not activated or the car re-starts as needed.
I hate the stop start system disabling it was the very 1st thing i did when i got it home after paint protection
i know it does not bother some people but it just wants to make me tear my hair out

I love it and would never disable it. How can you say you hate it when you by admission never used it for any time at all. It puzzles me that people who have never used it also hate it which seems to be a bit strange are they clairvoyant or something?

Possibly due to experience on other cars?
I've driven enough cars with stop/start that I know that if I ever got a car with this "feature", I'd disable it fairly quickly.
carandimage The place where Off-Topic is On-Topic I used to think I was anal-retentive until I started getting involved in car forums
The drive home from the dealer was enough for me but also have driven my parents cars with stop start
i enabled it again to go for check up at dealers yep just to drive there and back was enough for me got rid of it soon as i got home again

Correction, you can install a pod filter and it'll give you a bit more induction noise but nothing noticeable/measurable in terms of performance. For that you need to increase the fuelling/air flow (boost on the turbo) and the only safe way to do it is through an ECU tune or with a piggy back (JB4 or similar).
Both will potentially void your warranty. Statistically if you're going to havea manufacturing fault with the car it'll typically show itself in the first 5,00-10,000km. This is part of the reason why your car will arrive with 30km on the clock and also why extended warranty will only ever cover you up until "end of life" starts to kick in.
Manufacturers know the fault profiles for their cars and for sure it'll be someone's job to look at the numbers to see how much it is costing them and whether this is within industry norms.
It's always a risk and something not everyone is prepared to take on a new car.
...and as always, correct and especially preventative maintenance will increase reliability and decrease failure rate, especially later in the vehicle’s life.
Just keep one think in mind, that with any manufacturer fault that shows during warranty period, you have a good chance that your warranty will be honoured, especially when you ready to put up a bit of fight (prove) for it, when dealing with some dealers. Though if you brake your diff and have the tune installed and it’s a very rare or non existent failure, then most likely you pay for it yourself.
The only things I can think of for more power that might work while under warranty are the JB1 and JB4, even then I would be careful as there's speculation about detectability of these due to various parameters potentially being exceeded and hard recorded on the ECU when this happens. The speculation may be nothing, but if you're that worried about warranty it's something to keep in mind.
And wait until after your first service, if something obvious is going to break and need fixing it should happen before then.
Safest thing would be a decent custom tune, but unfortunately that's warranty void straight away!
I ran an APR tune on my Mk6 GTI from 500km old until I got rid of it at 115000km, no adverse affects but I took the risk that if something engine related broke I was up **** creek.
