December 13th - Still no news on the Tiguan R - no pricing no eta this is very embarrassing!!!

Yes they were. I got a very sheepish call from my dealer about it. They were expecting the news last Friday and it just never came. No advice on a delay. Just radio silence form vw au.

So the tiguan R is $69,990 before sunroof and DA. I still think we'll see them in may/June.
Are the rest of you who have preorder still going to go ahead? I'm pretty sure I will.

Spoke to my dealer today and he confirmed that base price for the "R" is $69,990, plus taxes and on-roads, and the first to arrive in Oz will be in May 2022. Only a few of the demonstrators will arrive then. The order book is now open, but customer cars will be after May 2022

Took delivery of my Tiggy Elegance today, one of the first MY22's to arrive.
The Elegance now has the footwave opening tailgate, which was previously only on the R Line model.

Good stuff allypally. Is there a significant improvement in the paint compared to when you got it off the shop floor?

Yes there is. The detailer found several paint faults, and 2 stone chips. The stone chips had been caused prior to delivery, most likely on the transporter between Melbourne and Sydney. Also, when checking the paint density, it varied between 67 and 170, even on the same panel. So much for robot painting.

Have recently taken delivery of a 132 Life, great car.

Two things that are bugging me - the indicator, is there any way to adjust the clicking noise? Way to loud for my liking!

Also the steering creaks on gentle turns, anyone else experienced that?

I doubt if you can turn down the clicking , but the steering should not squeak.
