They might be in their yard but they don't show on the stock search page.

Only 8 Tiguans listed on the stock page as at today's date,

Someone may be lucky though enquiring with the dealer.

There used to be a practice where dealers would not inform VW Au that an order was cancelled, so that they could on sell themselves. If they informed HQ of the failed sale, then they risked the car being handed over to another dealership and therefore lose the profit. That practice probably still exists today, so you would find cars at dealerships that are not listed in available stock.

Is the VW stock page more accurate or sites like carsales which shows the actual cars sitting at the dealer? I’ve noticed that the vw stock page has more cars listed than the carsales site

The carsales site is often used by dealers to list phantom cars in order to drum up sales enquries. The VW Stock site is "supposed to be" genuine, listing cars which are either cancelled orders or stock at dealerships. Always look for the VIN being part of the listing. I always check the VIN with Prixcars site to see if and when the car was delivered.

Well it's arrived.

Delivered to our door this morning.

Now the wife needs to get used to driving a DCT rather than a manual transmission along with all the electronic controls and functions available.

It will take her a few days pickup on the memory seats, bluetooth phone connectivity (didn't have that in the Jetta) and the haptic controls for the touch screen

I'm amazed how quiet this diesel is compared with the Jetta diesel. Mind you one is a CR and the other a Pumpe Duse so that's the majority of the noise reduction with a CR.

It is better than expected but also a minor not.

My only criticism is the UCB-C connectivity that means with have to find another means of playing our music. Either we need to buy a new device and or start paying for streamed music. I have not been able to work out how to get the old ipod connected or the new device to use to play music.

Otherwise the we are very happy! Especially the matrix LED lights. They are fantastic!

Given it's the wife's car, I'll take a long while to work through all the options and settings avaiable. Most the wife won't even consider.

You should be able to get an adapter which will change your connection to the new use plug

The ipod is a Nano 3rd generation about 15 years old.

I bought an adapter cable from Jaycar and the infotainment system will not recognise the device. (USB male input to USB-C female output) Outlay was $11.95.

I also copied files to a USB (that's works in my Landrover) but again it doesn't like the format.

I'm thinking, after reading on some other forums and websites, that we may may have to get some updated technology or file formats to have our music.

Unless a clever person on this forum can offer any solutions?

Have you used this tool at all yourself.

I could not get it to work and keeps giving an error to contact their support team.

I think I'll wait catch up with one of my sons in law. He's a tech head with anything computers, cars and technology

try a different usb stick with 1 wav file copied to it. Make sure it is a "WAV". Then try to play it in the tiggy.

Quite simple the unit will play MP3 no trouble at all I have 2000 tracks on a USB C stick and it works without problems in both my Tig with MMI 2 and wifes 2021 Kamiq with an Amunsden MMI3
I bought this nice and small so it wont get bumped easily and works no problems
