Why not just use Waze? Free, and people tag mobile cameras as well, not just fixed ones.

Program might be free but you use data to run it. Some like me only use a phone to make calls so we cant do that. I can use Google maps offline however

Hillbilly, the data Waze uses is very small. It’s about 500kB an hour. Almost irrelevant on all of the prepaid and postpaid plans in Australia for the last 6+ years.

Yeah but I dont have data on my Aldi pay as you go so I only use it for an MMS if I have to . Tig nav got me home on Tuesday so seems far better than what was on my Passat RNS510. Have various Google map areas on my phone as well and can use them off line.

I was the same, then pulled the trigger and can say it's worth it for all the additional customisation. We also own two VAG cars so also worked out there.

Must haves -
disable stop/start
Traffic info
Traffic sign recognition
Throttle response
Haldex adjustment
Disable nag screens
Disable left hand overtake prevention
Ambient colours
Golf R dash

And there's probably a few I have missed as well.

It's quicker transfer of data speeds, iOS compatible and will be able to be used with cars not in the VAG family.

Capabilities still remain the same with what you can do using android.

iPhone users do not get access to long coding or adaptions at first and will only be able to use apps by purchasing credits.

I would even suggest iPhone users pick up a cheap android phone or tablet still as alot of changes and adaptions are better using long coding or following steps with many not set up as easy apps
