I have ordered/received my New Tiguan

Those with cars on the Grand Hero over Christmas had a pretty unusually long wait I think. Once it's landed in Australia it seems to be 10 days or so.

Now clocked up a whole 30k's, had a crack at letting it park for me (unnerving) and the beeping going into small carport is going to take some getting used to! Or I will turn it off. Thanks all for the congrats, I will let you know how it goes after a blast down to the coast.

The park assist is pretty creepy, but it works pretty well, I’ll be the first to admit I’m not a great reverse parallel Parker so if it’s a tight one it’ll save my rims haha

Just got the magic email that my Tiguan will be delivered mid next week (it’s coming from interstate).

What things should I look for during/at delivery?

It’s only my second new car off the boat, and the first experience my partner at the time sorted it. So now I’m responsible and for a $50k purchase I’m nervous!

Today is D-Day (Delivery Day!) - picking up the wife's Tiguan this afternoon.

Dealer told us there's an issue with a parking sensor - the part is ordered but won't be in today. We decided to pick it up anyhow as we're headed away for a long-weekend trip and were keen to take the new wheels.

Managed to adjust to all the new technical features pretty quickly, loving having Android Auto at my fingertips.

Mine is off getting towbar fitted.
But as mine needs ACT rego they have to truck it down and have it done locally.
More delays.
Wanted to go for a drive over long weekend.

Tiguan picked up and all great apart from the rear sensor which they told us about - being fixed Monday!

I haven't driven it yet but the wife is in love after driving it home across Melbourne in peak hour. Had a bit of a play in the driveway - got profiles set up and assigned to each key.

No radio station icons for some reason - I'll look into that. We got the dealer to fit a Blackvue DR750-2ch dashcam - it's working and recording but no manuals or anything for it. I got the app downloaded and was able to connect and can see recordings. Need to have a bit of a play to make sure it's doing the right things etc.

I've got a VCDS HEX-V2 dongle ready to go - will have a play with this over the long weekend if the wife lets me and start with turning on traffic and a few other simple tweaks.

We're off to Gippsland so a few hours of driving ahead of us this afternoon and maybe the boss will even let me have a go behind the wheel

Congrats. Sounds like you're in for a good weekend. I'm not sure many dealers preload the radio station icons for you but they are very easy to upload yourself.

Awesome - you'll love it! I wasn't a fan of the colour (wife's car, her choice) but it's grown on me and I think it looks different on the road.

Have you guys had the shipped email yet? I haven't. I was under the impression it took 6 weeks for the ship to get here once it leaves... Anyone else out there know more?

Any news from the 'next shipment' crew? I havent received any updates or the 'im shipped' email yet. Seems to have taken a while between built and shipped (almost 3 weeks now)
