I have ordered/received my New Tiguan

Still no sign from my dealer yet. The car is in The Netherlands at the central stock location but there are delivery problems on the Connect Box is what i'm told. They place this connect box just before going to the local dealership and this delays my current delivery.
It's been a full week now and my dealership is hoping to get the delivery this week but doesn't promise me anything.

(Don't know if you guy's have the connect box but it's a box that let's you connect the car to an App on your phone and read al kinds of info from it and lock it from distance etc.)

No carnet or SIM card slot here... we don't even get traffic data because someone is too cheap to pay the royalty.
I can connect a VW 'Media Control' app to the car's wifi hotspot, and control the infotainment system, but no remote info, and only connected to LAN, no internet.

...just out of interest, in the VW emails (ordered/built etc) is the picture shown a generic highline no matter what you optioned it with? Ordered mine with the R-line pack but have bog standard pic of the 162. As someone else earlier on this thread received their tiggy without the DAP when it was finally delivered, it makes me nervous that perhaps it hasn't been processed with the R-line paclk. Call me paranoid, but I'm not waiting 8 months to receive the biggest let-down of the century...

I think it's generic mate so don't stress. I ordered a 162tsi with the lot and I got the stock standard tiguan picture on the email too. Now my personal home page doesn't even work.. [emoji21]

And the website is completely boring. Just a link to their online magazine and a video showing how to use car connect.
So much for "full of important information"... what about giving us a link to the Maps download site, and all the videos on the various technologies?

What I did find useful is an IOS app from VW USA (I think) called KYVW (Knowing your VW)... this lists a bunch of relevant videos to watch.
...Of course I did not need to see them... it is for my other family members to study before they drive my car

I ordered a 132 comfortline with DAP / LP August 5th, it arrived at dealer from boat Aug 31, picked it up Sep 5. So around 1 month lead time. Its an MY18. I test drove an MY17. The screen on the MY18s is much better in terms of clarity especially the camera quality when reversing. Also because its flat it does not have the lip which collects dust at the bottom like the MY17 screen. The adaptive lane guidance is brilliant compared to the basic lane guidance I test drove on the MY17. I ordered it with extended VW factory 2 year warranty. I got the comfortline mainly because I live in a rural area and the bigger wheels / low profile tyres on highline would be painful for the rough unsealed roads. Find it really nice to drive.

Yeah, my dealer has said to me on numberous occasions he'd rather "under promise and over deliver".

My cars original eta was Jan/Feb 2018, landing in December. If no delays, I'll take November .. so you never know.. Finger crossed it might be on the same boat.

Just paid the deposit and signed a contract for a new car for my wife - a 162TSI in Ruby Red with R-Line, DAP and tow-bar. Looking at March 2018 delivery.

Also got my "I'm built' email over the weekend. For my White 162 R-line with DAP, from an original order date of March 11th, that's basically 6 months to get to this point. Now to see if I can get a VIN # from the dealer, so the vessel stalking can begin.
