I have ordered/received my New Tiguan

It it interesting seeing the profile view of these so close, you can see a lot of similarities between the two, even the line running down the doors. The BMW has a much more rounded look which makes it look more outdated. I much prefer the sharper lines of the Tig plus the bigger wheels and brighter white makes it stand out much more.

Didn't realise how big the new Tiggy are, after seeing so many older models on the road, and they look very small. New ones look heaps longer and wider.

For those who are expecting their car to arrive in Australia from the middle the end of March (depending on which state you live in). Your new Tiguan could be on this boat (Fedora). It is currently docked in Bremerhaven and loading has begun. It has the one of the shortest amount of time to get to Melbourne (39 days instead of the typical 42-46). I am hoping that my Tiggy has made the boat as it left the plant on the 27/1 and arrived at the ports yesterday.

The next two ships to leave include the:
TAMESIS - departs 06/02 arrvives in Melbourne on the 25/03 (taking the long way round via the US)
BESS - departs 08/02 arrvives in Melbourne on the 22/03 (via South Africa).

For the schedules I went to this website https://www.2wglobal.com/webapps?min...ScheduleRWD%2F
(select Bremerhaven as the departing port and the arriving is your home port - I assume yours will be Port Kembla).

In terms of the ship locations I used MarineTraffic https://www.marinetraffic.com/ you can search for the name of the port or the name of the ship.

Thanks hcvo1. My car was released from production around the same date, so hoping it will be on that vessel. Although, I've entered my VIN on the wilhelmus wallenius tracking site and it doesn't come up yet.

just out of curiosity, does the first 3 digits of your VIN (of the last six number start with 395?) as I noticed that all the ones that are being loaded all start with 390, 391, 392 and 393. It looks like the 394s and 395 have not been loaded.

OK, that's promising at least. My VIN doesn't look anything like what you've described though. Nothing like it. How do you know the VINs of the ones being loaded?

A typical VIN for a Tiguan looks like so: WVGZZZ5NZHW39XXXX (where X's are numbers). Of the last six digits the ones that have already been loaded start with 390, 391, 392 and 393. Mine starts with a 395.

To check which VINs have been loaded go to the tracking website https://att.2wglobal.com/gstattweb/o...uickSearchPage and in the CARGO ID type in everything besides the last 4 digits and you will see all the matches for first part of the VIN.

I think the last six digits might have something to do with the model as well mine starts with 86 and arrived on the Don Juan it's a comfort line.

Hi guys. I stumbled across this thread while trying to find out where to buy a Highline 162TSI.

Before reading some of the posts, I thought I'd be able to swan into a local dealer and drive away with an ex-demo, or at least order one and take delivery a month later.

In exchange for a laugh at my expense/naivety, can anyone tell me what sort of lead times we're looking at for orders placed around now?
