I would have kept the Passat loaner for another 8 months But at the end of the day as long as you're happy that's the main thing.

I think the deal you got was very good at the time. I guess I've driven a car with ACC for the past 2 years so it would be like a step backwards not having it.

Having said that my Scirocco doesn't have ACC and I've learnt to go back to a non-ACC car. You just enjoy the car for what it is.

My main concern would be the back-end resale/desirability. But that depends if you're trading in or selling privately. I think the DAP would hold some value but I guess only time will tell.

Minus the R-lines, ALL of them were offloaded in Melbourne, we're going to raffle them off to the highest bidder, muahahaha

Also have to thank all you guys for your previous comments, this forum is the reason I bought a Tiguan. Wasn't even on my radar till my wife looked at one. Finally, after an 8 month wait, joy is on the horizon! Anyone know how long to clear customs?

common practise is they will get picked up in the next day or two from the dock and taken to a bonded warehouse, there they get cleaned up, fitted with anything that doesn't ship well and any dealer accessories are fitted. while in the warehouse having everything done customs will do their bit and clear them before they are allowed to leave the warehouse. So close hopefully we get our cars in the next few weeks

Yeah, the dealer I bought through had one already ordered. Every other dealer I spoke to stated Feb '18 for what i wanted.

Long wait revdes, enjoy the day and picking up the car, the wait will be a distant memory when you're tearing up the bitumen

Just out of interest, do you know when the car landed in Melbourne? Just trying to gauge how the wait may be for those with cars on the Morning Celesta.

Have noticed the tracking status has moved to 'discharged' but the next step is 'delivered from', looking at some other VINS, that took 5 days to transition status in early July, not sure what it means BTW, perhaps customs finishing with the car?

Any insight would be great, on the home stretch and being impatient lol
